What Is Invisalign?
Invisalign is an excellent choice for those who want to begin orthodontic treatment but are concerned about wearing more visible appliances. Our practice is pleased to offer Invisalign clear aligners, which provide a clear, comfortable, and convenient solution to obtain your ideal smile.
The Invisalign treatment is comprised of a set of custom-built alignment trays constructed from the company’s proprietary SmartTrack™ material. The trays are created using digital scans of your teeth taken in our office, so they properly fit your teeth and are comfortable to wear. Invisalign aligners are also easily removable, so you can brush, floss, eat, and drink normally.
For best results, wear your aligners as much as possible, preferably between 20 and 22 hours each day. We recommend removing them only to eat, brush, floss, or drink anything other than water.

Your Individualized Treatment Plan

Using these digital scans, Dr. Hodnett and his staff can create a precisely focused treatment plan that predicts your total treatment duration as well as the appearance of your new smile once treatment is completed.
Your Progress During Treatment
The duration of Invisalign treatment varies depending on the severity of the patient’s oral concerns, how their mouth responds, and how consistent they are with wearing the aligners. Although Invisalign takes fewer visits to our office than braces, you must still come in for checkups every six weeks or so. We can establish how well treatment is progressing and if any adjustments are required by our team.
Every two weeks, you will switch to a new set of aligners while maintaining consistent, gentle pressure on your teeth to continuously guide them into the ideal position.
